THE TWENTY-ONE POSITIONS

Sexuality

The inner-axis position for a person’s vitality — drive and aliveness, the counterpart of Profession.

Sexuality is one half of a structural pair in the Balance Codex method. On the inner axis it holds a person’s relationship to their own vitality — the energy beneath drive, physical aliveness, and the basic capacity to feel fully present in one’s own life. Its counterpart on the material axis is Profession: the same current of energy turned outward into work and vocation. Where Sexuality is the vitality a person carries within, Profession is the shape that vitality takes when it meets the world. The two are read together — one energy seen from the inner and the material side at once.

As an inner-axis position, Sexuality describes what a person carries inwardly rather than how they present outwardly. It is one of the twenty-one positions that make up the Balance Pyramid, and it forms early — part of the foundation a person builds their later life upon, in the sequence by which the pyramid activates across a life. Its place in the structure is fixed. What fills that place is not.

Every position holds one of the twenty-two universal energies, and the energy that lands in Sexuality is what gives the position its particular character for a given person. Vitality can read as a steady, banked warmth in one person and as a restless, forward drive in another, though both occupy the same point on the map. What each energy means in general belongs to the energy pages; what a specific energy means here — in the Sexuality position of one person’s pyramid — is the depth the full report is written to carry.
