Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Balance Codex collects when you use this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to thebalancecodex.com and to the Balance Pyramid calculator and reading offered on it.

In short: to produce your result, the calculator uses the details you enter — your name, your gender, and your date of birth. We also use a small number of analytics and infrastructure services that process technical information such as your IP address. We do not sell your personal information. You can ask us to access or delete your data at any time using the contact details at the end of this page.

1. Who we are

Balance Codex (“Balance Codex”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a project operated by Sogdiana Shvedova, the founder of the Balance Codex method, as a self-employed individual, who is the data controller of the personal information described in this policy for the purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation.

If you have any question about this policy or about how your data is handled, you can reach us at privacy@thebalancecodex.com.

2. What this policy covers

This policy covers personal information we collect through this website: information you enter into the calculator, information you give us when you contact us or continue to a personal reading, and information collected automatically while you browse. It does not cover third-party services that have their own privacy policies — such as Telegram, where the full reading is delivered (see section 4.4), or the providers listed in section 8.

3. The legal bases we rely on

Where the GDPR applies, we process your personal information on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • To provide a service you have asked for — for example, to calculate your Balance Pyramid and generate your PDF when you submit the calculator (Article 6(1)(b), or your consent in entering the data).
  • Your consent — for non-essential cookies, analytics and behavioural measurement, and any marketing emails. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Our legitimate interests — to keep the website secure, to prevent abuse, and to understand in aggregate how the site is used, in a way that does not override your rights (Article 6(1)(f)).
  • Compliance with a legal obligation — for example, keeping records required by tax or accounting law if and when paid products are offered (Article 6(1)(c)).

4. The information we collect

4.1 Information you enter into the calculator

To produce your Balance Pyramid and your free PDF, the calculator collects:

WhatWhy we collect it
Name (up to 80 characters)To personalise your on-screen result and your PDF. It is not used in any calculation.
Gender (female or male)To personalise the wording of your reading. It is not used in any calculation.
Date of birthThis is the only input that affects the result. It is used to compute your Balance Pyramid and the reading shown to you.

The result and the downloadable PDF are generated from these inputs. We do not ask for, and you should not enter, any information beyond what the calculator requests.

4.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, we and our service providers collect certain technical information automatically:

  • Device and usage data — your IP address (which also gives an approximate location), browser type, device type, the pages you view, and how you arrived at the site.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — small files used for analytics, security, performance, and remembering your preferences. See section 6 and our Cookie Policy for the full detail.
  • Behavioural analytics — we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with pages (for example scrolling, clicks, and aggregated session replays). Clarity is configured to mask the content of form fields, but it does record interaction patterns. This runs only where you have consented to non-essential analytics.

4.3 Information you give us when you contact us

If you write to us by email, we receive your name, your email address, and whatever you choose to put in your message, so that we can respond.

If at any point we offer an email subscription and you choose to sign up, we collect your email address to send you the updates you have asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time.

4.4 Information shared when you continue to a personal reading

The full reading — beyond the free Main Task result the calculator returns — is delivered personally over Telegram. If you choose to continue, you open a conversation with us on Telegram and provide your name and date of birth so that the reading can be prepared.

That conversation, and any arrangement or payment made within it, takes place on Telegram and is governed by Telegram’s own privacy policy and terms (telegram.org/privacy), in addition to this one. We use the name and date of birth you share there only to prepare and deliver your reading.

4.5 Payment information

We are not currently selling products for purchase directly on this website. If and when on-site purchases are reintroduced, payments will be handled by our payment processor, Stripe. In that case your card details are entered into and processed by Stripe’s secure systems; we do not receive or store your full card number. Stripe processes payment data under its own privacy policy.

6. Cookies and tracking

The site uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics (for example Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity), for security and performance (for example Cloudflare), and to remember your preferences. Non-essential cookies are set only after you give consent through our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time. A full list of the cookies we use, their purpose, and how to manage them is set out in our Cookie Policy.

7. Automated processing

Your Balance Pyramid is generated automatically from the date of birth you enter. This calculation is informational: it produces a structural description of your innate foundation for you to read. It is not used to make any decision that produces legal effects, or similarly significant effects, about you, and the method does not predict future events.

8. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising. We do use a small number of trusted service providers (“processors”) who handle data on our behalf so the site can function:

RecipientWhat they doWhere
Hosting providerHosts the website and stores its data; keeps server logsBeget LLC

We may also disclose personal information where we are legally required to do so, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

The processing carried out by these providers is governed by their own privacy policies — for example Google’s at policies.google.com/privacy, Microsoft’s at privacy.microsoft.com, Cloudflare’s at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy, and Stripe’s at stripe.com/privacy.

9. International data transfers

Some of the providers above are located outside the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where your personal information is transferred outside the EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework — to ensure your information continues to be protected.

10. How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes set out above, and then delete it or anonymise it:

  • Calculator inputs — retained only as long as necessary to generate and deliver your result and PDF [retention period to confirm against the calculator configuration].
  • Reading details shared on Telegram — kept for as long as needed to prepare and deliver your reading and to handle any related follow-up.
  • Contact correspondence — kept for as long as needed to deal with your request and a reasonable period afterward.
  • Analytics data — retained according to each provider’s settings and retention controls.
  • Payment and transaction records (only if on-site sales resume) — kept for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law.

11. How we protect your information

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption of data in transit (HTTPS) and restricted access to the systems that hold it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond appropriately if a problem occurs.

12. Your rights

12.1 If you are in the EEA or the UK

Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your information;
  • ask us to restrict or object to certain processing;
  • request portability of information you have provided to us;
  • withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent; and
  • lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

12.2 If you are in the United States

Depending on your state — for example under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA — you may have the right to know what personal information we collect about you, to access and delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights.

12.3 How to exercise your rights

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@thebalancecodex.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

13. Children’s privacy

This website and the Balance Codex method are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

14. Links to other sites

Our pages may link to other websites and services, including Telegram. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our services, or the law. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be made clear on the site. Your continued use of the website after an update means you accept the revised policy.
