THE TWENTY-ONE POSITIONS

Desire of the Soul

The inner-axis position for your inner longing — the wanting carried within, paired with Desire of the Heart.

Desire of the Soul is one of the earliest facets of the Balance Pyramid to come alive: the position that holds a person’s inner longing — the wanting they carry privately, before it takes any outward shape. It belongs to the first half of the structural base — the inner-axis lessons that come online between roughly four and seven years of age, while the pyramid switches on in stages rather than all at once (life-phase activation sets out that timing in full). By the time a child can put words to what they want, this part of their design has already been at work for years.

The position sits on the inner axis of the pyramid — the side that describes what a person carries within: their relationship to themselves, their inner energies, and their own quiet wants. It is one of the twenty-one positions that together form the Balance Pyramid, the structural map the method computes for each person from their birth date.

Each inner-axis position has a counterpart on the material axis, where the same underlying energy turns to face the world. Desire of the Soul is paired with Desire of the Heart: one names the longing felt from within, the other the longing that reaches outward. They are not two separate wants so much as a single one seen from two sides. How the eight pairs mirror one another across the pyramid is the subject of the inner and material axes.

Like every position, Desire of the Soul holds a single value from one to twenty-two — one of the twenty-two universal energies that make up the method’s alphabet. The position is the question: where a person’s inner longing lives in their design. The energy is the answer: which longing it turns out to be. What a given energy means once it settles into this position is read in the full report, where each position is interpreted in light of the energy that has landed there.

Your own Desire of the Soul — and the energy occupying it — is one of the twenty-one positions revealed when you calculate your Balance Pyramid from your birth date.
