THE TWENTY-ONE POSITIONS

Cultivated Talent

The inner-axis position for talent matured through experience — the developed gift built on Innate Talent, paired with Monetized Talent.

Cultivated Talent is the developed tier of talent on the inner axis of the Balance Pyramid — the gift that opens not at birth but through experience, practice, and the situations that ask a person to use it. The pyramid carries talent on its inner side at two levels: the root gift a person is born with, and what that gift becomes once life has worked on it. Cultivated Talent is the second. It grows directly out of Innate Talent, the inborn aptitude beneath it; where the innate gift is simply given, Cultivated Talent is the same capacity matured — drawn out by effort and by the years of practice that develop it.

As an inner-axis position, it describes an inward capacity — something a person carries within — which is part of what sets it apart from its mirror on the material side. Every inner position is paired with one across the centre line, the logic of those mirrors set out under the inner and material axes. Cultivated Talent is paired with Monetized Talent, and the pair reads as one developed gift seen from two sides: cultivated inwardly through experience and skill, and realized outwardly when it is put to work and earns its keep in the world.

Like the other bright energies of the upper pyramid, Cultivated Talent is active from childhood — one of the early capacities a person brings with them, even though its full cultivation belongs to the years that follow. When each position switches on across a life is set out under how the pyramid unfolds.

The value that lands in this position is one of the twenty-two energies, and it shapes how the talent expresses itself. Cultivated Talent takes its place among the twenty-one positions of the method; to see which energy sits in yours, calculate your Balance Pyramid.
